Okay, so it’s time for the AK 74u, it’s been a long time coming to this weapon, but I’ve had a few things to sort out, mainly redoing my entire setup. The AK-74u Loadout Warzone then, recently, there were many stealth changes to weapons in Warzone, mainly for the Cold War guns.
But fortunately, the AK-74u wasn’t one of those weapons affected. Many other guns had their barrels changed like the FFAR; one of the ranger barrels got even more bullet velocity than it had before, but here with the AK-74u, nothing has changed, which is good, no last-minute changes for the loadout.
Best AK-74u Loadout Warzone Attachments
- Barrel – 9.3″ VDV Reinforced
- Muzzle – GRU Suppressor
- Underbarrel – Spetsnaz Grip
- Ammunition – 40 Rnd Speed Mag or VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag
- Optic – Microflex LED
Now I’m building this AK-74u as a close to mid-range SMG. It doesn’t have the fire rate to compete with some of the other closer range SMGs. It definitely can’t go toe-to-toe with the Mac 10 at extremely close quarters. Still, a little bit further out in that close quarter’s section, you can drop them if someone’s not paying attention, but once you start to get into the mid-range. Somebody looks at you; you’re going to be able to take them down even if you start shooting after them because it’s got significant damage, and it’s got greater range.
Barrel – 9.3″ VDV Reinforced
We’re going to start with the barrel; you want to take the VDB Reinforced. It’s the only option for the AK-74u at the moment because it just gives you all the benefits. Usually, I’d recommend the barrel with the best bullet velocity, and it’s solely being focused on bullet velocity, but here with the AK-74u, we get a better boost by using the combined barrel; bullet velocity increase with this barrel is 96% which takes your weapon up to 1192 meters per seconds, and that’s without the GRU suppressor on top of it which no doubt adds another 15 or 20%, so this makes the AK-74u just brilliant mid-range SMG option as your bullets are going to land on target almost instantly, there’s barely any need to lead with this gun whatsoever.
This barrel also increases your damage range simultaneously so that the max damage amount that you’re doing in close quarters extends a bit further with this barrel.
Muzzle – GRU Suppressor
Then, of course, you do want to make sure that you add the GRU suppressor on here for those increases to bullet velocity and damage range, but also it keeps you off the mini-map at the same time.
Underbarrel – Spetsnaz Grip
Then you want to take the Spetsnaz Grip for reductions to vertical and horizontal recoil; this is quite important for those mid-range gunfights where a little bit of recoil could kick you up off of the target you don’t want that happening; you want to use the power of the AK-74u for sure.
Ammunition – 40 Rnd Speed Mag or VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag
And then, either take the 40 or 50 Round speed mags. A lot of the speed magazines on Cold War weapons they do now work correctly, which means the timings of the reload and the animations of the reload are connected; the bit that’s still not working is the stopping power reload animations, those are still completely out of sync with the timers, and they are frustrating still especially because I want to use stopping power on some of the Cold War guns. Still, at the moment, I’m just actively trying to avoid that.
Optic – Microflex LED
And then lastly, you can take an excellent optic, I’d recommend a low zoom optic as the Microflex LED, but you could take a Holographic for a bit more range if you wanted to, anything more than a Holographic, I don’t think it’s worth it with the AK-74u.
This build here works well alongside a Sniper Rifle because you’ve got the added range; this weapon provides, covering off a lot of your mid-range action.
