AR Loadout Loadouts

Best AUG Loadout Warzone | Close Range

Hey guys, I hope you’re all doing well. This loadout today, it’s one that I’ve actively avoided for quite a long time. Because based on experience, the AUG isn’t that competitive within Warzone, converting it to a 556 weapon using assault rifle ammunition. That does help a little bit, but the weapon then becomes very slow, sluggish, and heavy. And in my opinion, it’s not a particularly enjoyable weapon to use.

It’s off-meta. Not many people are using it, and someone in my Discord suggested that I try a loadout with it and get a win around the Warzone. And that’s precisely what I’ve managed to do.

Best AUG 5.56 Loadout Warzone Attachments

  1. Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
  2. Barrel – 622mm Long Barrel
  3. Laser – Tac Laser
  4. Stock – FSS Heavy Stock Pro
  5. Ammunition – 5.56 Nato 60-Round Drums

So this is the loadout that I’ve gone for the org in a Warzone. And instead of trying to counteract how heavy and slow this thing becomes, I’m somewhat leaning into that, and I’m trying to use the benefits of what is a very slow heavy weapon instead, the ammo conversion to 556. That’s one of the main factors in increasing the range of the AUG, and we’ll be focusing on lowering recoil and steadying up our aim as much as we can to turn this into a mid to long-range weapon.

Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor

First of all, we’ve got a Monolithic Suppressor and the longest barrel combination.

Barrel – 622mm Long Barrel

and there, you’ll want to take the 622-millimeter barrel for the AUG. This results in an overall 60% increase in the damage range, which puts it right in line with some of the top-tier Assault Rifles, and we also get an increase in the bullet velocity up to 1141 meters per second. That’s right alongside the GRAU, the Kilo, and the M4.

Laser – Tac Laser

Then we take the tac laser, and purely here this is to try and get some of the massive time back that it takes to aim down sights with the AUG. This build, in its entirety, takes 490 milliseconds to aim down sights, so close to half a second. And it is that slow, and you’ll see in the gameplay just how slow it is.

But also, the tac laser gives us more excellent aiming stability, which gives us better accuracy when we’re aiming down sights.

Now I’ve opted not to put an optic here on the AUG, and that’s somewhat range limiting; it means that I can’t see people at longer ranges. I’m just looking at tiny pixels on my screen. But adding any optic to this build would increase the time that it takes to aim down sights. And with that already being half a second’s worth of animation. It’s not an option that I wanted to take.

Stock – FSS Heavy Stock Pro

So instead, I’ve decided to go with the FSS heavy stock Pro. And that’s another aiming stability option that buffs the AUG when it comes to accuracy. As I said, this build is slow and heavy. So we’re leaning into that as opposed to trying to offset it too much.

And then having this heavy stock applied. That does mean that we can keep our iron sights on target and keep those bullets hitting at range.

Ammunition – 5.56 Nato 60-Round Drums

And then lastly, of course, the 556 conversion ammunition, and you need the 60 round drum mag here. 30 rounds just aren’t going to cut it in Warzone, but you are taking a fairly substantial weight increase when adding the 60 round mag.

This loadout is not one that I’m that partial to, and I just felt so slow during the rounds that I was using it. Still, I did my best to try and take on the attributes of the AUG and use it in the best way that I could to try and get the win, and I converted it into a fully-fledged assault rifle. I thought that was the best way to go with this weapon.

You might say that it would be better to stick with the SMG ammunition and if you have a loadout for the AUG with the SMG ammunition that is quite good and leave it down in the comments or jump over to my Discord server and leave it in one of the two chats over there where you can suggest different loadouts. Still, today I’m trying to go for aiming stability to make this a mid to long-range weapon.
