Loadouts Shotgun Loadout

Best ORIGIN-12 Loadout Warzone

So I think by now we all know that in season five, the origin 12 shotgun has risen to prominence as one of the best close-range weapons you can run within Warzone. And with it also being a ground loot gun. Early games can be particularly challenging in season five if you’re landing at hot spots like the airport or superstore.

It’s a bit like when the FAL was ground loot in season four, and people figured out how powerful it was, and then everyone started using it and including it in their loadouts as well. I wouldn’t be totally surprised if we see the origin get some kind of a nerfs in season six, which is due to start in just over a week.

Best ORIGIN-12 Loadout Warzone Attachments

  1. Muzzle – Choke
  2. Barrel – FORGE Tac Impaler
  3. Stock – No Stock
  4. Ammunition – 12 Round Mags
  5. Perk – Sleight of Hands

So I thought now was the time to use it a little bit before it gets nerfed because I’ve avoided using the origin pretty much totally throughout season five. After all, I didn’t want to be the guy running around with the meta shotgun. But as it turns out the games that I’ve been using it in, I’ve discovered it’s one of the very few ways in Warzone that you can kill a cheater.

Make sure you subscribe to our notification; by the way, as I’ve said, season six for Warzone is just around the corner, and that means map changes and new weapons like the AS VAL and the JAK-12 shotgun and potentially later in the season. The R-700 Sniper as well; I’m really looking forward to that one. So this is my origin loadout, and it’s the meta one because I wanted to test and see how powerful this thing really was, having not used it at all through season five.

Muzzle – Choke

First, we take the choke for tighter pellet spread and a small increase to the damage range. That gives us a bit more power beyond the enemy just standing right in front of you. It is still a shotgun, so use it at a close range, but it’s got a little bit more flexibility. So if an enemy is a bit further away than what you’d expect to kill somebody with a shotgun with this attachment, you’re probably going to do more damage to them.

Barrel – FORGE Tac Impaler

Then we take the forged tag, Impaler barrel, the longest barrel available for more damage range and better pellet velocity. So you’re going to be connecting with your targets a little bit faster.

Stock – No Stock

Then we take no stock for the increased movement speed, which will help offset some of the extra weight that we just added with that long barrel, and we get faster ADS speed as well. Which in some situations is going to help you.

Ammunition – 12 Round Mags

12 round magazines next, you can, of course, take the 25 round drum magazine if you want to. But that comes with some pretty heavyweight to it. And that’s going to slow you down and, of course, at close range with a shotgun. You want to be able to move around nice and fast. So I think the 12 rounds is the best option, in my opinion.

Perk – Sleight of Hand

And finally, I’ve opted for sleight of hand to speed up the reload times. That can be a real pain when you’re fighting in close quarters. So being able to switch over to another weapon nice and fast. That’s going to give you an advantage.

I really didn’t enjoy using the origin the same way I enjoy using some of the other guns in this game. It felt a bit cheap to me, but if I was going up against a cheater as I did in a couple of matches the other day, cheaters have really ramped up in the last week or so. I’m starting to see them in every one in three one in four matches that I play, and it’s getting a bit frustrating again.

So using an origin against the cheater, I have absolutely no problem with doing that. And as it turns out, it’s one of the best weapons you can use against the cheater. I paired the origin here with the GRAU. That’s a build that I’ve saved from back in season three. And that’s when the GRAU was an absolute monster, and I’m testing it again to see if it’s still as effective now as it was back then. And we do get into a bit of a scrap with a team with a cheater in it, and the origin comes out on top.
