CALL OF DUTY LEAGUE 2022 SCHEDULE

The complete schedule for the season can be seen in the photo below:

MODES USED IN THE COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT

HARDPOINT

When it comes to games that are played in professional settings, this is the fastest. In this mode, teams must compete to control the moving objective zones across the field. Each team earns points for every second it spends on the current objective, even if it remains uncontested.

Every 60 seconds(points), The goal is rotated to a new location on the map. This makes the game mode interesting since it could result in beautiful turns. The winner is the team that is first to get to 250 points.

SEARCH & DESTROY

SnD is often a type of game with an attacking and defensive side. The thing that distinguishes this game mode from the rest is that players only have one life per round. This makes the game more sluggish and tactical and tactical; however, it is also a factor in making certain moments more memorable because of these aspects.

The attacking team’s goal is either to remove all the defensive players or to explode an explosive at two fixed locations on the game map. Defenders can only win by eliminating any opposition players or waiting for the timer for each round to end.

DOMINATION

This is among the most played modes in the community regarding casual games and is why it’s even more enjoyable in competition for the players. It’s very like Hardpoint because it’s focused on controlling the area. There are specific locations on the maps where teams can take over the flag and begin earning points based on the location. Instead of just one spot, there are three flags in the game at any time. The B flag is primarily situated at the mid-point in the middle of the map.

CONTROL

What makes this game distinctive is that it is a mixture between Hardpoint and SnD. There’s an attacking team and a defense team. The attacking team must take two zones before running out of respawns. Meanwhile, the defensive team must defend their captured points before the timer runs out.

2020 CALL OF DUTY LEAGUE SEASON

The season of 2020 was split into two parts: summer and spring. There was also an all-star tournament in midseason that was held immediately following the spring split; however, the most memorable event for the entire season came at its final, the Championship Weekend. The three modes used in the whole season included Domination, Hardpoint, and SnD as well; as the prize pool was a staggering $4.600.000, the odds for COD this year were also attractive.

Twelve teams were competing in the playoffs, but only four teams qualified for the Championship Weekend. These four teams included:

  • Dallas Empire
  • Atlanta FaZe
  • Chicago Huntsmen
  • London Royal Ravens

Ultimately, the grand finals would be a fantastic match in which Dallas Empire would face off Atlanta FaZe in a best of 9 series. Dallas Empire started with 1:0 since they were placed in the winner’s bracket. Dallas Empire turned out to be quite dominant during the season and won the title with a 5:1 score, but they lost to Atlanta FaZe in Hardpoint mode by The Gun Runner map.
