Right now, everyone’s weapons are at a low rank, so you want to get yours high enough to be as good as it can be and dominate those lobbies. You can get double weapon XP tokens from the Battle Pass and various pre-order bonuses. Also, before we get into direct techniques, you should know that PlayStation players get a 25% XP bonus on weapons when parting up and playing with other PlayStation players.

So obviously, if you have a PlayStation, that’s fantastic news, because it’s going to save you a lot of time, not so great news for the rest of us, though.

Now let’s talk about what game mode is best.

Zombies fans look away now because it’s not so good at the moment. The waves are slow in zombies, and the XP is little, so it’s all about multiplayer for weapons ranking, especially since the integration hasn’t gone live yet between Vanguard and war zone, so there aren’t any Warzone contracts techniques available to us right now. When in multiplayer hardpoints, patrol and domination seem to be the best for weapon XP as these heavily emphasized weapon compounds and have lots of action.

But ultimately, you want to choose the mood you do best in and to get the most kills, and I also advise putting guilt combat pacing Blitz; it can be a little crazy and hectic for some, but there are just more players and engagements with enemies, meaning your weapon XP per minute is going to fly up. You can get the potential to be near the ceiling when it comes to XP per minute.

If the craziness of Blitz isn’t for you, though, and you can do better on the slower versions of game notes, by all means, go for them.

Okay, now on to a new feature in call of duty, and that’s operators having their favorite weapons; you get weapons, and overall XP boosts for using the operator’s favorite weapon and using that operator. Not only does this help when you’re using their weapon with the operator, but it helps with just ranking up the operators as some of these rewards give out XP for their favorite weapon even if you haven’t used it.

So be sure to unlock and select the operator that favors the weapon you’re trying to rank up. This isn’t available for all guns currently since there are 38 weapons at launch with only 12 operators; we will likely be seeing more operators added with content updates, though, thankfully two of the primary weapons and best weapons at the launch of Vanguard, the STG, and the MP40 do have operators that favor them, Roland, for the STG and Halima for the MP40.

Next up, we have camo challenges every 5 to 10 weapon levels within Vanguard to unlock a new type of challenge for your weapon. You can get lots of XP for doing lots of different things, including double kills, long shots, and multi-kills, to name a few. So keep an eye on these challenges even early on in ranking up your weapon, as there’ll be some you can proactively do to boost him through the ranks.

Another sneaky tip to rank up weapons a little quicker is to use the surplus weapon attachment and a kit, and it gives you a little weapon XP boost for every kill you get. And it’s a minimal trade-off when using this because there are so many attachments available to us, so it’s not going to replace something important that reduces your recoil or increases damage range.

Lastly, I advise you to get yourself in a clan formerly known as regiments; by being part of a clan and playing with other members within that clan, you win a 10% bonus to level weapon, operator, and clan XP.

Collectively all of these tips should help you rank up weapons much faster and get you ahead of other people in your lobbies.
