The CR-56 Amax has exploded in popularity recently due to its rise to the top of the current meta in Warzone. Then a few people started asking me how they could unlock the CR-56 Amax without multiplayer? I’ll be honest; I forgot that this weapon wasn’t unlocked. I must have either done the challenges by accident or just did them quickly when the gun first came out. Either way, I’m going to share with you some quick ways to unlock this beauty in just Warzone so you can get slaying with it sharpish.

If you have multiplayer, you’ll be able to unlock this quickly and easily just by lobbing a few stuns around, but with Warzone only, it can be tricky. The challenge to unlock the amax is
Get 3 Gunbut kills while using an assault rifle in 10 different matches.
Thankfully, this isn’t too difficult. It doesn’t say to do this without dying in 10 different matches; for example, we can go in flailing our weapon around and pick up one kill and go again, no problem. So in case you don’t know what they mean by these gun buts kills, it’s essentially battering people with the melee butt while holding an assault rifle.
But before we even hop into a game, there’s something we can do to help us out, and that’s to sort our classes out. Many assault rifles have a Breacher device or equivalent available as their muzzle, which increases melee damage. It doesn’t matter too much which assault rifle you do choose, although a more lightweight one would be better for movement, but whichever one you do decide to get this attachment on.
For perks.
Double Time
We want double time for speed of movement
Ghost
ghosts to avoid being spotted on the radar
Tune Up
And tune up to recharge our field upgrade faster, which will be dead silence in this instance.
For equipment.
Stuns
I recommend stuns to slow people in their tracks, ready for bashing around the head. Collectively this lot keeps us off the radar and allows us to sneak up on opponents for easy swings of our weapon.
Right, so what game modes do we want to play? For this challenge, resurgence on Rebirth Island or plunder is your best option currently. If you’re struggling with the challenge, though, go straight into plunder. That’s because we respond when we die in these modes. And you spawn in with your loadout and field upgrade within plunder from the second one.
We’re ready to start competing for that challenge in some of my other content. I’ve recommended to just stay on the plane for as long as possible, then jump off at the end and kill the players who are too damn busy to be concentrating. This is still a good option, but many people are on to this now so that you may have company, so if you do try this, be sure to jump off a little bit before the end and get a good drop on when the players will float down.
Don’t fear, though if this doesn’t work, this challenge will track when you down someone with actual bullets and finish them off with your gun but melee so you can still drop into hotspot areas of the map where high earners are or just busy areas of the maps are and get throwing bullets at them. Because PanDa has lots of cash lying around compared to a normal battle royal. I’d recommend spending some of that cash on UAVs. If you’re struggling to find many people, for whatever reason, don’t run ghost in this mode and easy pickings.
In terms of the gameplay tips here. Just make sure you keep using your stuns and utilizing dead silence. Don’t be afraid to play aggressively either, even if that means having a shoot-up and just finishing them with mele on the floor. Good limited response and plunder is going to help you out a lot.
My final big tip, which will help a lot with this, is that you can get to your three kills in one match and then leave and go into another; make sure to check your progress before leaving, though. Go on your edits classes mid-game and go down to the max, and you can see if the progress is tracked by leaving after the three kills. It’s going to save you a whole lot of time. You can honestly unlock the amax in just over an hour by hopping in and out of games.
But of course, if you stay in the game, you can always end up winning it like I kind of accidentally did during the game where I was getting these clips together.
