Halo Infinite – How to Unlock Samurai YOROI Armor

In today’s article, I’m going to teach you how to unlock the samurai themed YOROI armor core; I’m also going to explain how the fracture tenrai event works, how the event pass works, how you’re going to level it and how you’re going to reach to your 30.

Now from the main menu in the bottom right-hand corner, you should be able to see news about this event now that it’s currently active, and there you’ll learn that this is a free event pass that offers limited-time rewards for playing in a specific event playlist, which is Slayer Fiesta.

Now, if from the main menu, press (Y), you should see a battle pass, your daily challenges, and in the middle of the event pass, you can look through the 30 tiers and the rewards.

In the top left corner, you can see your current level and the weeks that this is on. The first week is from November 23 to November 29, But there are also seven total weeks, so that this event will be continuing on and off until April.

You can unlock the armor core as early as level five, but some of the other more incredible things are unlocked a little bit later on closer to level 30, including weapons skins and weapon coatings, but how are we going to level this? Well, we’re going to go to our challenges. And here, you’ll notice that some of your weekly challenges have a little red icon next to them. And this means that they are a part of the event pass.

While looking at your weekly challenges, you can also press (Y) to go to your upcoming weekly challenges, which will begin to unlock as you complete the active ones. One crucial detail is that these challenges offer XP, but the XP gained through the tenrai challenges only goes towards the progression of your regular Battle Pass.

The tenrai event pass and event passes in the future are not leveled by experience. Instead, you exchange one challenge for one level in the event pass. If you complete a challenge with that icon next to it, it will give you one level in the event passed, and it will provide you with XP, but that XP again is given to the regular Battle Pass.

While going for these events, I highly recommend that you go to your boosts screen and use a double XP boost if you’ve earned one. This will allow you to level up your regular Battle Pass at a much faster rate. From here on out. You have to start completing these challenges, and they’ll begin to be easy, like playing one Fiesta match or getting five kills in Fiesta Slayer. And as you complete those, you’ll gain levels in the event pass. You’ll see these challenges complete at the end of every game you play if you’ve done the correct conditions for them. Still, these challenges will then be replaced with new challenges, and some of the new challenges that get replaced in there may not be directly related to the tenrai event, meaning that you may need to go and play other modes to make space for the tenrai challenges.

Also, if at any point you are struggling, don’t be afraid to use a Challenge Swap to get something easier hopefully, now the unfortunate news is that there are only seven tenrai challenges in this first week, meaning the maximum rank you can get the event to right now is only level seven. You can’t purchase your way to a higher level.

Luckily, we will unlock the armor core at level five, but all the cool stuff later on. We’ll have to wait until week 2,3,4 and 5 or even later.

Now the community sentiment behind this event pass isn’t looking great on places like Twitter; people are pretty upset as around 20 Out of the 30 things you can earn through the event paths end up being just XP grants and challenge skips. A lot of the other cool stuff is just locked behind the store for purchase with real money. I’m not going to go too into depth about that in this article.

Unfortunately, there aren’t going to be very many options for customization at this point; everything seems to be pretty much locked behind the event pass in the future or behind the store.

So most people are going to be rocking pretty much the same YOROI in multiplayer matches unless you have something special. It is cool, but waiting until March to have some of these late-event pass items is disappointing.
